I say "no concrit please", but seriously if anyone knows how to tag properly on AO3 I would love to hear your thoughts. Someone on my reading list wrote an amazing post about it last year but I can't remember it enough to actually put into practice!

This is a bit of an experiment for me. I haven't tried writing something multi-chaptered before, but I like my idea - and I've outlined! - and my new commute gives me a nice chunk of writing time.

Oh wow, that sounds excellent! Will the rafting be in Canada too? Have you done it before?

Got your chapters, did the first, will try to get the second done tonight but might not get this stuff back to you until Monday.

Rafting is one of my...hobbies? Activities? Sports? My husband and I each own a small one-person oar-rigged raft. We actually went today on our local river, and will be doing some more this weekend on a nearby river we've never been to.

The August trip is in northwest Colorado and northeast Utah. I've done it before but not on my own raft. It should be a lot of fun, going with a bunch of friends that we've done other raft and mountain bike and backpacking trips with!

Oh that is excellent! How long have you been doing it? I'm assuming these are the not the sort of rafts you stand on and pole along...? (I tried a google image search but there is quite a lot of variation)

That sounds really fun! It is good to have friends you've done trips with before - I've had some disastrous hiking trips with friends who hadn't hiked before and we just didn't gel as a group-doing-a-strenuous-activity.
